Becoming Latina in 10 Easy Steps has become my favorite book. I recomended it to all my friends. I actually picked it up at the book store and thought it looked interesting. It gave me a break from the designated school novels we are forced to read in english class. The book reminded me of my familia. I can't wait until your next novel comes out in November. :o)

I just read your Becoming Latina in 10 Easy Steps and absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down and I wanted more of Marcela and George. There were parts of the book that I had to laugh because it reminded me of me even though I'm Puerto Rican not Mexican. Keep up the good work.

The weekend was rainy so I went to the library and saw this eye catching book "Becoming Latina in 10 Easy Steps". Hummm looks good, I'm Latina! I read it over the weekend and love it so much I'm going to buy it for my book collection. I laughed, cried and oh my the sensual scenes with George! I'm a Mexican born and raised in America. So I can relate with Marcela, and George got me thinking "I really should learn Spanish!" So looking forward to your next book!

I just finished reading 10 Easy Steps to Becoming Latina about 10 minutes ago and I started it today! I could not put it down because I was definitely able to connect with Marcela. I am half mexican and have definitely felt the pressures of "not fitting in" when I lived in L.A. I am going to recommend your books to everyone I know. While looking through your site I learned about Becoming Americana. I am definitely looking forward to it!

Hi Lara,
Sorry I'm late with my review on Becoming Latina
in 10 Easy Steps, Let me tell you, I LOVE IT. Being American born of Mexican heritage, I can relate to the culture and lingo. I don't have any Spanish friends here In NJ, so reading the book makes me feel like I'm back in my youth in Colorado with all my Spanish friends. I feel like I know Marcela. Looking forward to Becoming
Americana and I truly enjoyed A Family For Raffi.
Best of Luck and my regards to your Mom Ana.
BE BLESSED,
LOLA

I just finished reading 10 Easy Steps to Becoming Latina, and loved it! Being latina myself, but not liking the whole political side of the issue, I could really relate to the main character! It was nice reading about someone who totally loves her family and where she comes from, yet not all gung-ho super chicana. I love to read, but rarely read books where I can identify with the main character, culturally, I mean. I just really needed to write to say thank you, I truly enjoyed the reading experience.I'm looking forward to reading Becoming Americana.
